Welcome to Angus Glen
The popular community of Angus Glen is situated south of Major Mackenzie Drive, north of 16th Avenue and west of Kennedy Road In Markham Ontario.
The history of Angus Glen can be traced back to one man, Arthur Stollery, who bought this land back in 1957 for the purpose of raising Black Aberdeen Angus cattle and champion thoroughbreds. He named the property Angus Glen Farm. An avid golfer, he started building a golf course on his more than 1800 acres in 1992 but sadly passed away in 1994. The Stollery family completed his masterpiece though and opened Angus Glen Golf Club to the public the very next year.
In addition to the famous golf course, this community is also home to the William Berczy Historic Cemetery, which contains the graves of the early settlers of Markham.
