AUGUST 2019 - Condo Market Update

This month we are highlighting two bedroom, two bathroom (2B2B) condo apartments in Markham and Toronto.  You will be amazed at how much you can save by buying in specific key areas in the GTA versus downtown.


1) TORONTO 

Average 1 bedroom condo price ($544,500) in August 2019 has decreased a bit from their peak in the Spring, but currently still higher than the beginning of the year ($513,200). 

Average 2 bedroom condo price in August 2019 ($690,000) was 4% higher than the same month last year (August 2018)


Our prediction for the Toronto condo Fall market will be steady with little or no price change to the end of the year.



2) MARKHAM 

Average 1 bedroom condo price ($465,300) in August 2019 was the highest it has been all year. This supports the consistent trend of demand for 1 bedroom condos in Markham. 

Average 2 bedroom condo price ($567,000) in August 2019 was still lower than its peak in 2017 ($640,000). Prices have fluctuated seasonally as expected. This is a good opportunity for buyers to secure a 2 BR unit while prices are still mostly flat.  


Our prediction for the Markham condo Fall market will be steady with little or no price change to the end of the year.
